Scoring Questions

Do DNFs score any fantasy points?

No. A DNF (Did Not Finish) scores zero fantasy points in MX Fantasy Sports. A rider who starts but does not finish a moto earns nothing for that moto. This makes injury news and rider health especially important to monitor heading into each round.

What is the Beat Season Average bonus?

If a rider finishes 3 or more positions better than their season average in a moto, they earn a +2 bonus point. This rewards breakout performances and makes value picks more interesting throughout the season.

How does the total points format work?

MX Fantasy Sports uses a motocross fantasy league scoring system — a total points format — no weekly head-to-head matchups. The team with the most cumulative fantasy points at the end of all 11 rounds wins the league. Pure skill, no bracket luck.

When are fantasy scores updated?

Scores update automatically from official AMA Pro Motocross results. The scraper runs at 1pm, 3pm, 4pm, and 5:30pm PST each race Saturday to capture results as they come in. Standings are typically fully updated within 2 hours of the final moto.

MX Fantasy Sports scoring is designed around the two-moto format of AMA Pro Motocross fantasy. Unlike supercross fantasy games that only track overall finishes, our motocross fantasy scoring rewards both individual moto performances. A rider who goes 2-1 on the day scores points in both motos plus an overall win bonus — rewarding consistent performance across the full race day. This makes free motocross fantasy on MX Fantasy Sports more strategic than any other 450 class fantasy platform available today.
