2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — used for account login and authentication only
• Username — your display name shown in leagues and standings
• League and team data — league names, team names, draft picks, roster choices

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data — basic analytics on page visits via Vercel Analytics (aggregated, not personal)
• Browser storage — we store your username and last-visited league in localStorage for navigation purposes only

We do not collect payment information. The platform is free and no financial transactions occur.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate MX Fantasy Sports:

• To create and manage your account
• To run fantasy leagues, drafts, and scoring
• To display standings, rosters, and results within your leagues
• To send transactional emails if needed (password resets only)
• To improve the platform based on aggregated usage patterns

We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• League members — your username and team name are visible to other members of leagues you join. Your email is never shared with other users.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Authentication is handled by Supabase, which uses industry-standard security practices including encrypted passwords and secure session tokens. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your username and last-visited league ID. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to third-party advertisers. Authentication session tokens are stored securely by Supabase and expire automatically. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or logging out.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — update your username or email through account settings
• Deletion — request that we delete your account and personal data
• Portability — request your league and scoring data in a readable format

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. League data (standings, rosters, draft history) may be retained after the season ends for historical purposes. If you delete your account, your personal information (email, username) will be removed. League data you created may be retained in anonymized form to preserve other members' experience.

9. Children's Privacy

MX Fantasy Sports is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at mxfantasydrafts@gmail.com and we will delete that information promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
